Dr. Jennifer Galanis
Jennifer Galanis received a Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. She had worked as a scientist at the National Institutes of Health, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Ben Gurion University, where she investigated phase transitions and spontaneous pattern formation in molecules.
Dr. Galanis was also a continuing education student at the Corcoran College of Art+Design in Washington D.C., and has participated in art exhibitions in the United States, Israel, Japan, Greece, Spain, Ecuador, and France.
In collaboration with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Bloomfield Science Museum, her current interests combine art and science to understand social interactions in an exhibition space. As a member of a community revitalization effort, she also applies this knowledge to create temporary art installations in public spaces in the old city of Beer Sheva, Israel.
