About: When I brought the drawing for the floor of this print, Dennis shook his head and gave a doomsday monologue: "It looks nice... BUT...
.
It's not going to print. The lines are too thin -- it's coo close to the mesh size of the silk. And you didn't draw them dark enough -- the emulsion is going to have a hard time sticking. And even if we do manage to make a screen, paint bleeds a little. It'll probably cover up all this fine detail..."
.
(I didn't mean to bring in a challenge. I just got carried away with a quill, like I sometimes do.)
.
"It's not going to print... BUT... we'll give it a try... Don't be upset if you have to start over..."
.
Don't know what changed his mind (it sure wasn't me!). And as a testament to his skill, Dennis got most of those details to print!
.
Speaking of quills, after making this print, Dennis cut a feather he found into a quill and gave it to me! So I guess on some level, he found the fine line work entertaining. (Unfortunately, I've moved too many times to know where that quill is... )
